Tracking a big warmup for midweek

TONIGHT

A mild day today, temperatures will top out in the upper 40's and low 50's. Overnight, clear skies and light south winds will allow temperatures to drop slightly below freezing.

TUESDAY

Big southerly flow returns Tuesday, bringing much more warmth and a little more cloud cover. Expect highs near 60, with partly cloudy skies.

EXTENDED

Highs will make a run at 60 again on Wednesday, but rain’s on the way back in Wednesday afternoon. Rain will break out ahead of our next potent system. Showers will stay with us overnight Wednesday into Thursday as much colder air starts to rush in. That is expected to change over the rain to a wintry mix and eventually snow by Thursday morning. There is still a lot of details to iron out over the next few days, so be sure to check back frequently before Thursday. Precipitation will wrap up Thursday afternoon leaving us about 30 degrees colder before we start to climb out of the cold. Highs will warm from the low 40’s Friday into the upper 40’s Saturday, reaching the upper 50’s Sunday.
