Tracking near record highs with a weekend cooldown

Today: Temperatures warm into the lower '60s with winds remaining out of the south at 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Temperatures gradually cool down to 45 degrees aided by partly cloudy skies.

Extended: Thursday afternoon, highs near the long-standing record high set into 1917 at 72 degrees. Winds remain out of the south with another day of 60-degree weather on Friday. Friday night, a cold front moves into Central Missouri from the northwest allowing for chances of isolated showers and cooler temperatures. Next week looks to see temperatures nearing the average highs for early December with chances of showers by Tuesday.
