Tracking a clear Halloween with a cool week ahead
Tonight: Temperatures will continue to fall into the lower 40's with winds remaining out of the west at 3-6 mph. Skies remain mostly clear which aids in the chance to see the northern lights from parts of northern Missouri.
Halloween: Winds switch out of the northwest at 8-12 mph leading to a slight cooldown. The afternoon high falls to 56 degrees with mostly clear skies. Temperatures fall into the upper '30s for the overnight low so some warm layering with costumes will help out.
Extended: A low-pressure system moves in Monday that will stick around until Wednesday morning. This will lead to scattered showers throughout the duration with cloudy skies. Temperatures continue to decrease with lows dropping into the lower '30s by Tuesday night leading to a chance to see Mid-Mo's first frost this fall. Skies begin to by Wednesday afternoon while highs slowly climb into the upper '40s later this week.
