Tracking gorgeous conditions today, summer-like heat returns Sunday

TODAY: Dense fog early. Clouds clear by morning, leading to a nice sunny afternoon with highs in the upper 70s.

TOMORROW: Winds shift out of the southwest next week, bringing a sizeable warmup. Highs already rebound to the upper 80s by the afternoon on Sunday as we stay dry.

EXTENDED: A ridge will build over the Midwest, keeping heat in place for much of the week. Highs will be back in the 90s as we start the workweek, though humidity should stay in check. By Wednesday the ridge begins sliding east but it doesn't look like we get much relief. A couple disturbances may track through as we head to next weekend and highs steadily decrease back to the mid to low 80s.
