Tracking a big warm up by Friday into the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and comfortable with lows in the upper 50s to around 60.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, breezy, and hot with highs in the upper 80s to around 90.

EXTENDED: Gorgeous weather is expected through the rest of Thursday, with clear skies expected into this evening. Winds shift back to the south/southeast overnight as high pressure to our west works into the region by Friday. This will send warmer air through the Midwest, pushing highs into the upper 80s to around 90 by Friday afternoon. Friday evening is looking mild for high school football games with temperatures at kickoff near 80. Saturday and Sunday will bring temperatures about 10-12 degrees above average as south winds kick up to 25 mph. Highs reach the low to mid-90s across Mid-Missouri. Hot temperatures stick around into early next week with this strong high pressure overhead, as temperatures remain in the 90s on Monday. By Tuesday, an area of low pressure aloft to our north could send a cold front our way that would bring the potential of showers and storms and cooler temperatures through Wednesday.
