Tracking intense heat and humidity for the weekend

Tonight: Temperatures will slowly fall overnight into the low 70's with mostly clear sky conditions continuing.

Tomorrow: We'll wake up steamy for our Weather Alert Day with temperatures quickly rising into the mid-90s for the majority of the afternoon. Dew point values near 75 degrees will cause a heat index value to top out between 102 degrees and 105 degrees.

Extended: Sunday will continue our Weather Alert day as similar conditions to Saturday stick around. High humidity and temperatures will lead to increases in chances of heat exhaustion and dehydration if outside without water for extended periods of time. Sunday and Monday there are slight chances of scattered storms, but most of the viewing area will remain dry leading to increased chances of dangerous fires. Temperatures continue to increase heading into mid-week with highs into the mid-'90s once again. Dew points will hold in the 70s most of the week, meaning that feels-like temperatures will be a concern for the majority of the week.
