Quiet through Saturday, coldest air of the season by Monday

TONIGHT: Skies will remain clear. Temperatures will drop into the low 30s.

FRIDAY: A weak cold front will knock high temperatures into the upper 40s and low 50s, but we're not expecting any precipitation. We cool down quickly into the evening.

EXTENDED:  Saturday looks like a great gameday-- temperatures once again reach the low 50s so have the jacket if you headed to Vandy taking on Mizzou. Winds will increase into Sunday ahead of a rapidly developing storm to our southeast. A few rain showers are possible in our southern counties. Winds will really pick up Sunday night into Monday as the low deepens.

BIG COOL DOWN NEXT WEEK: Expect much colder weather Monday where highs may struggle to get about 30 degrees. It will be the coldest air we've seen so far this season, and even a few wind-blown snow showers are possible in wraparound on the northwest side of the low pressure. If we actually manage to see snow, it likely will not accumulate. Temperatures will fall into the low 20s and 10s in the mornings early next week as well... Find those winter jackets!
