Tracking gusty winds and heightened fire danger Wednesday and Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly with lows in the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with gusty winds. Highs in the low to mid-60s with gusts between 30-35 mph.

EXTENDED: Gusty winds continue on Thursday as winds pick up to 40-45 mph in the afternoon from the south, pushing temperatures up into the upper 60s to low 70s through Friday. A front will settle across northern Missouri on Friday, bringing a chance for a couple showers along with more clouds by Friday night. We start the weekend off quiet on Saturday with temperatures in the upper 60s. The front finally makes its way into Mid-Missouri late on Saturday, bringing measurable rainfall to the entire area through Sunday. Behind the front, we cool down into the low 50s for highs, and remain there with dry weather for Monday and Tuesday.
