Tracking below freezing temperatures tomorrow, rain by Sunday
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and breezy early with lows falling into the low 30s. A hard freeze is possible for areas north of Highway 24 and along Highway 65.
TOMORROW: Decreasing clouds with temperatures rising into the low 50s.
EXTENDED: Clouds return overnight into Sunday, keeping temperatures in the upper 30s to around 40 by Sunday morning. Another cold front settles in by Sunday afternoon, triggering a chance of showers. Rain continues into Monday as upper level energy swings in from the south through Tuesday, but much colder air moves in from the north at the same time. Temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to around 30 both Monday and Tuesday nights, and if there is lingering precipitation early Tuesday morning, light snow could mix with rain before changing back to all rain during the day. Highs on both of those days reach about 40, so no accumulation is expected with those isolated snow showers. Low pressure slides to our south Wednesday and Thursday, giving us slight rain chances along and south of I-70. We warm back into the low 50s through Friday.
