Tracking much warmer weather this week, remaining quiet

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with lows in the low 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with a few passing clouds. Highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: Upper level high pressure takes hold of our sensible weather this week in Mid-Missouri as south winds push warmer air across the region. A weak disturbance tries to move through tonight, but the air will be too dry to get anything other than a few clouds out of it. We warm to almost 10 degrees above normal for much of the week with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Temperatures at night will range from the low to mid-50s through much of the week, and into the upper 50s over the weekend. We stay dry the entire week, with our next rain chance likely holding off until early next week. We're keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Delta, which could bring heavy rain and damaging winds to parts of Louisiana and Mississippi as it makes landfall as a category 2 hurricane on Friday. This system will have little to no impact on our local weather, but could impact the conditions at Saturday's Mizzou vs. LSU football game.
