Tracking brief warm-up for Wednesday
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and warmer with lows in the low 50s. Winds shift to the southwest.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, breezy, and warmer with highs in the mid-upper 70s. Winds gust to 25 mph from the southwest.
EXTENDED: After a short warm up on Wednesday, a cold front moves through Mid-Missouri on Wednesday night into Thursday, dropping temperatures back into the 40s for Thursday morning. We'll be breezy behind the front, but winds will be out of the northwest during the day, making it feel much chillier with highs in the low 60s. If winds can die down enough Thursday night, there's a possibility we could see some upper 30s across the northern half of the state. Friday is chilly with sunshine and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. By the weekend, another disturbance arrives from the west bringing energy to trigger showers on Saturday into early Sunday. We remain below average with temperatures in the low to mid-60s. Next week we gradually warm back into the upper 60s to lower 70s by Monday and Tuesday.
