Tracking storms and heat headed into the weekend

TONIGHT: Muggy and mostly dry. Temperatures fall into the upper 60s and low 70s. Storms are expected by sunrise.

SATURDAY: Have the umbrella ready if you have earlier morning plans. Morning storms are expected to taper off by lunch time. Temperatures should rise into the upper 80s by afternoon, the humidity will make it feel like the upper 90s, especially if we're able to clear out the clouds.

EXTENDED: Sunday looks like more of the same with a better chance at stretching into the 90s. Any storms should remain focused into the afternoon... but even those look fairly spotty. Temperatures should rise into the low 90s with heat index values around 100º. The heat sticks around Monday but storms look to increase Tuesday and Wednesday. Instability and wind shear look like they could play a role in the development of severe weather too. We will be paying attention to that threat closely.
