More rain Thursday, no heat in sight

THIS AFTERNOON: Continuing to track the potential of thunderstorm development along I-70 through the afternoon. Storms should become a little more widespread by the evening commute. Temperatures will remain in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder will linger into the overnight hours. Lows will dip into the upper 60’s.

EXTENDED:  Things look to settle down a bit more Friday but we can’t completely shake the rain chances. A few showers will be possible throughout the day, but the heaviest will stay south along the Missouri-Arkansas border. Better chance for some of those showers will move into our eastern counties Saturday. Another disturbance will drop south Sunday bringing some more rain chances to end the weekend. All the while, constant northwesterly flow aloft and daily shots at rain will keep highs near 80 through Sunday. It won’t warm up much even with some better shots at sunshine next week, with high pressure trying to give us a break.
