Stormier weather expected the next few days

THIS AFTERNOON: Storms have remained fairly scattered so far this morning-- we're expecting more coverage to develop as we progress through this evening. Thunder, lightning, and heavy downpours are the main threats.

TONIGHT: Showers and storms still be coming and going throughout the night. Lows will fall to near 70.

EXTENDED: More showers and storms will be in store into Thursday with a similar type of result. They’ll be off and on throughout the day, keeping highs in the low 80’s. Rain sticks around Friday, even if the coverage backs off a bit. This slow-moving system on Friday could even linger into the weekend. If the rain does hold on Saturday and Sunday, there will be longer breaks in between rounds. All this rain and cloud cover will keep highs near 80, with some of us stuck in the 70’s all the way into next week. Northwesterly flow aloft will keep the cool weather around into next week, with a chance to finally try to enjoy it Monday and Tuesday.
