Tracking storms for parts of Mid-Missouri Saturday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear early, with increasing clouds late. Storms develop after midnight and could bring heavy rain and gusty winds after dawn. Lows in the upper 60s to around 70.

TOMORROW: Storms likely for areas along and west of Highway 63 in the morning through about midday. A few storms could be strong with isolated damaging winds and heavy rain. Skies begin to clear by afternoon, leaving us with highs in the upper 80s and a heat index between 93-95 degrees.

EXTENDED: Sunday looks like a beautiful day and our coolest for awhile with lower humidity. Heading into next week, temperatures really begin to soar by Tuesday as high pressure shoves the jet stream to our north. Highs will make it into the mid-90s and stay there all week, with heat index values above 100 starting Tuesday through next weekend. Rain chances will be limited, but not out of the question with energy to work with each afternoon.
