Sizzling summer heat expected Sunday

TONIGHT: A few storms are possible early. Temperatures remain mild in the 70s.

SUNDAY: The heat and sunshine make a return tomorrow. Expect temperatures in the low 90s with heat index values between 95-100º through the afternoon. Have the water and sunscreen ready if you're going to be spending time outdoors!

EXTENDED: We look to hold on to the hot, sticky pattern as we ahead through the majority of the next 7 days. With all the heat and humidity around, we'll have to look out for daily thunderstorm chances too. At this stage of the game, we're not seeing any major indications of severe weather, but afternoon lightning and downpours are certainly possible. The heat looks to last into the weekend.
