Tracking summer-like heat and humidity for the weekend

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s. Stray spot shower or storm can't be ruled out, but most areas stay dry overnight.

SATURDAY: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Heat index in the 93-96 range.

EXTENDED: Heat and humidity stick around through Sunday and Monday with upper level high pressure overhead. Highs stay in the upper 80s with heat index values between 93-96 both days. We're keeping a close eye on Tropical Storm Cristobal, which is projected to make landfall late this weekend into Monday. The path of the remnant low pressure system will head north toward Missouri Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms by Tuesday. This system also ushers in cooler air with highs staying in the low 80s through the rest of the week.
