Spring takes full control this week across mid-Missouri

THIS AFTERNOON: Filtered sunshine will continue through this afternoon and temperatures will be cooler than yesterday. We'll be in the upper 40s and low 50s with a northeasterly breeze. A couple spotty sprinkles are possible.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy skies overhead as lows fall back into the low to mid 30s.

EXTENDED: This week is still looking quiet. We're tracking a disturbance that looks to move through too far to our north Tuesday night. Another system will move through the Gulf Coast states but doesn't look to move enough moisture our direction. The end result is a beautiful week with sunshine building back in and staying. Temperatures will get back into the middle 50s Tuesday and Wednesday, and near 60 on Thursday. A cold front slides through Thursday, but little in the way of moisture, no rain is expected. It will cool things down heading into the weekend, with highs closer to 50.
