Tracking Weather Impacts for the Biggest Travel Day of the Year
SUNDAY: Mixed precipitation will be falling in scattered showers during the morning hours and up until about lunch time. Accumulation is minimal on elevated surfaces. Those will clear out and leave us cloudy for the rest of the day. There is a WIND ADVISORY until 6 PM tonight due to gusting winds up to 50 mph. That will be the biggest travel impact especially for taller vehicles. The high for today is 37 however the wind chill will bring the real feel down into the mid to low 20's.
SUNDAY NIGHT: Another slight chance of mixed precipitation this evening into the overnight hours. Clouds will be clearing throughout the night. Lows in the upper 20's with winds still breezy.
EXTENDED: Starting Monday morning we will see a huge bump in sunshine! These sunny conditions will dominate the rest of the 7 day forecast since we will be under and area of high pressure. We will also stay above average with our temperatures through the entire work week with temps staying in the lower 50's through next weekend. The only rain chance this week so far is Thursday night but that still remains at a low chance.
