Two drivers were extricated and transported to area hospitals after a head-on collision in Prathersville Saturday night. The Missouri State Highway Patrol shut down part of Highway VV, north of Rangeline, while they worked to clear the accident. Troopers said they’re still working to determine what caused the accident.

Emergency crews in Columbia responded to an extrication accident on Scott Boulevard and Chapel Hill Saturday afternoon. The driver was out of the vehicle when the fire department arrived and was transported to the hospital for injuries. Friday, the Mizzou Athletic Department released the men’s head basketball coach Kim Anderson’s five year contract. Anderson is set to make $300,000 annually and guaranteed to make $1.1 million in his first year. With incentives Coach Anderson can make $2.45 million dollars. Ashland residents held a bake sale and raffled items to help raise money for the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. The family of 7-year-old Connor Brotherton organized the event.
