7 detained after shooting in Moberly Thursday evening

Four adults and three juveniles were detained after a fight-turned-shooting in Moberly, Thursday evening.

Around 7:45 p.m. Moberly police were responding to a gunfire call in the 700 block of Franklin St.

While heading to the area, officers learned there was also a fight at the same location with a man who ran away, according to a press release from the Moberly Police Department.

Upon arrival, officers found a male juvenile south of the home and took him into police custody.

After investigating, it was later discovered that a gun was fired inside the home during the fight.

Police say, the fight then moved outside of the home where another gun was fired. A woman at the scene was treated for minor injuries, according to the release.

Moberly detectives were called and executed a search warrant.

The four adults arrested were taken to the Moberly Police Department while the three juveniles were taken to their guardians and the Randolph County Juvenile Office.

The adults were released and are awaiting charges.

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
