Russellville woman killed in Boone County crash Sunday evening

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 62-year-old Russellville woman was killed in a crash in southern Boone County Sunday evening

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened on Route H westbound at Innovation Boulevard at 6:28 p.m.

According to Troopers, Debra Bates was pronounced dead on scene after a Ford Transit driven by Raechel Ford, 34, crossed the center of the road and hit Bates' Jeep Compass head-on.

Bates' passenger, Lisa Roberts, 63, was taken to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Ford suffered moderate injuries in the crash, Troopers said.

This is Troop F's first fatality for the month of December and 45th of the year.
