Westphalia man hurt following crash in Osage County Friday night

OSAGE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 19-year-old Westphalia man was hurt late Friday evening after a crash in Osage County.

The crash happened on westbound Route JJ before U.S. 63 around 11:40 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said, Gavin Holterman was traveling in a 1968 Ford Mustang when the vehicle crossed the center line and began to skid.

The vehicle then traveled off the left side of the road, hit the ground and a fence. Then the vehicle hit a tree, overturned and hit a fence again.

Holterman was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.

He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, the Highway Patrol said.
