Boone County grand jury indicts Columbia murder suspect and four in other cases
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A grand jury indicted a Columbia man Friday who is accused of murdering two people in northeast Columbia.
Cadilac Derrick, 35, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action, second-degree domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
An arraignment hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Boone County Courthouse. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.
Derrick was arrested in November in Moberly after the shooting in the 1600 block of Boyd Lane, police said.
In another case, Derrick has charges including second-degree domestic assault, third-degree domestic assault and endangering the welfare of a child. A preliminary hearing in that case is set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4 at the Boone County Courthouse.
Another murder suspect due back in court Monday
Corey Blueitt, 43, was indicted and has an arraignment set for 1:30 p.m. Monday. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.
He is accused of shooting and killing Aaron Badolato, 34, earlier this month in the 2000 block of Newtown Drive in north Columbia.
Blueitt's charges include first-degree murder, armed criminal action and third-degree assault.
Man accused of murdering woman indicted
Montez Williams, 31, of Columbia, was indicted Friday and will be back in court for an arraignment hearing at 8:30 a.m. Monday. He is also being held without bond at the Boone County Jail.
Williams is accused of murdering April Joann Brooks in November. His charges include first-degree murder, armed criminal action, shooting at or from a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, illegally having a gun and resisting arrest.
Man accused of shooting and crashing SUV due back in court Monday
Montrez Ricketts, 43, of Columbia, was indicted by a grandy jury Friday and will be back in court at 9 a.m. Monday.
He was charged with three counts of first-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. He is being held without bond at the Boone County Jail.
Ricketts is accused of shooting at a vehicle in north Columbia that had several occupants and ramming an SUV into the vehicle.
Grand jury indicts Hallsville man accused of shooting gun at building
Nicholas Brunda, 39, was indicted Friday. An arraignment is scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday at the Boone County Courthouse. He is being held at the Boone County Jail without bond.
He was charged with four felonies after he is accused of firing a gun at a residential building in November. Property damaged was observed, but no injuries were reported, according to the Boone County Sheriff's Office.
Brunda's charges include unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, first-degree assault and unlawful possession of a gun.
