Cole County man pleads guilty after law enforcements finds pipe bombs, drug paraphernalia during vehicle stop in 2018

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City man has pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon, a class D felony, after Cole County Sheriff's deputies found pipe bombs, drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop in 2018.

Deputies found meth and two pipe bombs in a vehicle being driving by Charles McBrearety after the traffic stop on Heritage Highway near Highway 54.

McBrearety will be on supervised probation with Missouri Probation and Parole for five years but could face up to seven years serving time in prison if he violates the probabtion.

McBrearety's home was then searched by authorities in 2018, and more pieces of drug paraphernalia, some detonation cord and two more pipe bombs were found.
