Two men charged after convenience store robbery Tuesday morning

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two men are charged after a convenience store robbery at the Petro Mart on the 1000 block of Stadium Blvd Tuesday morning.

According to court documents, Tyrese Craft and Howard Craft are accused of robbing the store.

A witness told police that a man came in Tuesday morning to the store, dropped a handgun on the floor and picking it up before demanding money.

The witness told police the suspect left the scene as a passenger in a white sedan.

Another witness told police that a friend witnessed a similar vehicle park on the 4300 block of Ludwick and told police.

During the police investigation, they found the vehicle had been at a convenience store on the 600 block of Scott Blvd. and two males matching the suspects' descriptions were there buying a cigar with cash.

Police identified the suspects from the first store as Howard and Tyrese Craft.

Police searched the Ludwick residence and found a gun and $386.

Both men are charged with 1st-degree robbery and armed criminal action. Both have a $100,000 cash-only bond and were arraigned Wednesday afternoon.
