AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo (KMIZ)
One man faces drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop in Audrain County.
Carl Nevills, 40, of Vandalia was stopped by Audrain County Sheriff's Deputies just before 5 p.m. Thursday along East Liberty Street in Mexico, Missouri.
According to deputies, Nevills was being deceptive and denied a request for a vehicle search. Deputies then deployed a K-9 unit which indicated there were drugs in the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle, authorities found methamphetamine, two handguns, and items used to distribute methamphetamine.
Nevills was arrested and taken to the Audrain County Jail on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm and felony driving while revoked.
He was released on court order Friday with conditions set by the court.
