ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMIZ)

The St. Louis Cardinals legendary season fell short Saturday night in the divisional round of the playoffs as the Phillies secured the series with a 2-0 win.

Miles Mikolas started on the mound pitching four innings giving up two runs on two hits and recording three strikeouts.

The Cardinals out hit the Phillies 7-4, but they couldn't seem to string anything together.

Albert Pujols and Corey Dickerson led things at the plate both going 2-for-4.

Speaking of Pujols, this was likely his last game after playing 22 seasons in the MLB. This is also the end of long-time Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina's career after 19 seasons in St. Louis.

Pujols and Molina both got hits in their last at bats Saturday at Busch Stadium.

There are also talks that pitcher Adam Wainwright may also retire after being in the MLB for 17 seasons.
