Royals swept in division series with White Sox

CHICAGO, Ill. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Royals were swept in a road division series with the White Sox after Chicago claimed Sunday's series finale 5-2.

KC was shut out in game one 2-0 and 5-1 was Saturday's final. In Sunday's finale game, the Royals put up just four hits on the day. Michael Massey drove went 1-for-4 with two RBI's.

Carlos Hernandez got the start on the hill throwing two scoreless innings. Max Castillo gave up five runs on eight hits in relief.

With the loss the Royals stand at 14-34 on the year and 3-7 in their last 10 outings.

Up next, the team return to Kauffman Stadium for a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers starting Monday at 6:40 p.m.
