Royals ends divisional series against Detroit with a win

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Kansas City Royals won the final game of the divisional series against the Detroit Tigers 5-2 on Wednesday which ending the series at 3-1.

Kansas City was led on the mound by Brady Singer who allowed seven hits and one earned runs in six innings, plus recorded six strikeouts.

Hunter Dozier dominated things at the plate doing 2-for-4 with an RBI. Rivera and Lopez also drove in runs and a Detroit error led to two runs.

Up next - Kansas City will travel to Toronto to play the Blue Jays Thursday at 6 p.m.

The 10 Kansas City Royals who are not vaccinated and will miss the trip to Toronto are: OF Andrew Benintendi, IF/OF Whit Merrifield, C M.J. Melendez, DH Hunter Dozier, SP Brad Keller, SP Brady Singer, CF Michael A. Taylor, OF Kyle Isbel, RP Dylan Coleman and C Cam Gallagher.
