COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
The Mizzou women's basketball team cruised past Indiana State 98-57, behind a career-high 31-point performance by Ashton Judd. The Tigers now hold a 2-0 record this season.
Judd took over the game from the very beginning. She started the scoring with a three-pointer to give Mizzou a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. She scored 13 of Mizzou's first 15 points. The sophomore guard hit seven triples in the contest and made 11 of her 14 field goal attempts.
Mizzou never looked back after Judd drained that three-pointer just 12 seconds into the game as the Tigers never lost the lead on Thursday night.
Freshmen Abbey Schreacke and Grace Slaughter also put together strong performances, scoring 17 points each.
As a team, Mizzou shot 58 percent from the field and 59 percent from three-point range.
