COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Men's Basketball has landed its highest-ranked prospect since Michael Porter Jr.

Jason Crowe Jr., who is considered a top-five recruit in the nation, announced his commitment to the Tigers on Friday afternoon. The California native also held offers from Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas and more.

According to 247 Sports, the five-star combo guard is the fifth-best prospect in the country and the third-best player at his position in the nation. Crowe Jr. is just the second five-star talent to commit to Mizzou Men's Basketball in program history, joining Porter Jr. who was the No. 2-ranked recruit in the Class of 2017.

The 6-foot-3, 170-pound athlete averaged 35.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game during his junior season at Inglewood High School, per MaxPreps. He also currently leads the Nike EYBL in scoring, recording 23.6 points per game, including four performances of 30 points or more.

Crowe Jr. represents the first commit in the Class of 2026 to pledge to head coach Dennis Gates.
