Caleb Grill discharged from hospital following neck injury

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Men's Basketball has shared a positive update on the health of MU guard Caleb Grill, following a scary collision against Lindenwood. Grill, who suffered a neck injury in the contest, was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday night after tests revealed that he did not suffer an injury to his spinal cord, per a team spokesperson.

Grill's neck injury was caused by a collision with another player, forcing him to exit the floor on a stretcher. Grill gave the crowd a thumbs up as he left the court and was responsive throughout the situation.

Mizzou's leading scorer is currently averaging 13.6 points per game this season while shooting 59.6% from the floor and 55.3% from three-point range. He has also tallied 19 rebounds, nine steals and six assists over his first seven contests of the year.

MU has not released a timeline for Grill's return.
