Caleb Grill cleared for all basketball-related activities

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

After Caleb Grill's first season in a Mizzou uniform was cut short due to injury, the former Iowa State transfer is now fully returning to action. An MU spokesperson confirmed to ABC 17 Sports on Monday that the college basketball veteran has been medically cleared to participate in all team activities.

The 6-foot-3 guard played in nine games for the Tigers in 2023 before a wrist injury suffered against Wichita State sidelined him for the rest of the campaign. Back on June 13, the NCAA approved a medical hardship waiver for Grill, which made him eligible to return to Mizzou for the 2024-25 season.

Grill made five appearances in the starting lineup last season, and over his nine games, he averaged 8.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He also tallied 10 steals and two blocks on the defensive end of the court.
