COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Tigers only trailed by five points at the break, but a flat start to the second half quickly inflated that deficit. Dennis Gates' crew did not trail by more than 10 points in the first 20 minutes of action, but after Auburn's 10-2 scoring run to start the second half, the Tigers found themselves down by 13 points and only closed the gap to single digits once in the final 17 minutes of the contest. The visitors outscored Mizzou 57-35 in the second half.

Sean East II finished senior night with a game-high 21 points, marking a sixth consecutive performance in which he scored 20 or more points. 12 of his 21 points came from the charity stripe. As a team, Mizzou shot 35 free throws and made 31 of them.

Auburn had five different players score in double figures and shot 52% from the field compared to Mizzou, who only shot 34% from the floor. Auburn also finished with 13 more rebounds than MU.

Up next - Mizzou Men's Basketball is down to its final chance to avoid a winless SEC season. The Tigers will face LSU on Saturday, March 9 at 7:30 p.m. to wrap up regular season action.
