Despite Florida never trailing on its home court, the Tigers got close to taking the lead on a few different occasions. In the second half, Mizzou made it a one-possession game seven different times but was unable to deliver the defensive stops it needed to take the lead. The Gators strung together a 9-2 scoring run late in the contest to put the game out of reach.
Four different Tigers scored in double figures. Sean East and Nick Honor led the way for Mizzou with 20 points and 18 points respectively.
The Tigers and Gators finished the game close in most statistical categories, but three-point shooting and rebounding made the difference. Florida out-rebounded Mizzou 38-27 and shot 13% more accurately from three-point range.
Up next - The Tigers return to Mizzou Arena for their final two-game homestand of the season. Mizzou will face Ole Miss on Saturday, Mar. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the annual Rally For Rhyan game.
