Mizzou takes down Wichita State, picks up seventh win of season
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou guard Sean East II recorded his fifth 20-plus point performance of the season, leading the Tigers to an 82-72 win over Wichita State. Mizzou's record is now 7-2 heading into the Border Showdown with the rival Kansas Jayhawks.

Dennis Gates' crew started the game on a 10-0 run led by Noah Carter and Nick Honor with five points each. Wichita State was never able to overcome that 10-point deficit as the Tigers never trailed in the game.
Mizzou built a lead as large as 11 points on Sunday evening after a slam dunk by Tamar Bates early in the second half, and the closest Wichita State got to tying up the contest was with 3:51 left in the game when Harlond Beverly scored a layup to make it a 68-66 game.
East led the way for Mizzou, scoring a game-high 22 points and posting 9 assists.
Iowa State transfer Caleb Grill finished the contest with a double-double, 13 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
Up next - Dennis Gates and company will hit the road to renew its rivalry with Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9 in Lawrence.
