SIUE held an early lead over Mizzou after Ray'sean Taylor sparked an 8-2 Cougar run by knocking down a jump shot. Damarco Minor ended the run by draining a jumper of his own, giving SIUE its largest lead of the game 12-9.

However, Noah Carter quickly erased SIUE's lead. Carter hit three straight triples as part of a 9-2 Tiger run to put Mizzou on top 18-14 with just over 12 minutes left in the first half. SIUE was able to tie the game again about five minutes later, but the Cougars never retook the lead.

Mizzou led 38-31 at the break, and the Tigers outscored SIUE 30-19 in the second half, leading to an 18-point win.

Sean East was the game's leading scorer, finishing with 20 points. Noah Carter was right behind him, recording 15 points in the contest. Carter also chipped in 10 rebounds for a double-double.

John Tonje finished with five points in his first start as a Mizzou Tiger.

Up next - Mizzou will hit the road for the first time this season. The Tigers will face Minnesota in Minneapolis on Thursday, Nov. 16. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
