Mizzou football adds duo of star recruits to 2026 class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Tiger football added two more major recruits to its line up for next season.
Head coach Eli Drinkwitz got a commitment from four-star wide receiver Cayden Lee. He started in all 15 games for Ole Miss on their College Football Playoff semifinal run, totaling 635 yards and three touchdowns on 44 catches. In his career, he's surpassed 1,600 yards and 100 receptions while in Oxford.
He's set to pair up with fellow Rebel transfer, quarterback Austin Simmons, who announced his decision to come to Columbia in early January. Lee becomes the fifth receiver transfer for Mizzou, along with Caleb Goodie, Naeshaun Montgomery, Kenric Lanier II, and Horatio Fields.
On the defensive end, former Miami linebacker Bobby Washington Jr. also announced his decision to play for the Tigers next season. In his two years with the Hurricanes, he's made seven tackles and picked up half a sack. He joins his former 'canes DT Donta Simpson Jr and DE Malik Bryant on coach Drinkwitz's squad.
