Mizzou football signs its first offensive lineman from the transfer portal

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz just beefed up his o-line with the team's eighth transfer of the portal window.

Mississippi State transfer Jack Work announced on his social media that he will be joining the Tigers for next year. In his two years with the Bulldogs, he made 22 appearances and 14 starts. Although a majority of his snaps have come at both left and right tackle, he has experience playing both guards as well, meaning he could play almost anywhere on the line for Mizzou next year.

As a prospect, he was a three start recruit, a top 120 player at his position nationally, and the 50th ranked player in the state of Tennessee.

Work is the eighth player to announce his decision to join the Tigers. You can see the full list of transfers below.

  • Safety Kensley Louidor-Faustin
  • Cornerback Jahlil Florence
  • Wide receiver Caleb Goodie
  • Linebacker Robert Woodyard Jr.
  • Quarterback Austin SImmons

  • Running back Xai'Shaun Edwards
  • Offensive lineman Luke Work
