Mizzou Athletics announces mandatory Memorial Stadium entry procedure

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Athletics has issued new mandatory entry instructions for fans attending football games at Memorial Stadium.

According to a press release, MU is requiring all fans to enter the venue on the same side of the stadium as their seats for the remainder of the 2025 season. In conjunction with this rule, ticket scanners will not grant access to fans who attempt to enter from the incorrect side. Mizzou will have additional staff to assist fans with the new guidelines and answer questions.

You can find a list of required entry locations below:

  • East Side (Sections 101-110, Sections 301-315 & Student Section):
    • Enter: Gates 2E-6E
  • West Side (Sections 116-125):
    • Enter: Gates 2W-6W
  • South Side (Sections 126-132):
    • Enter: Any Gate
  • Premium (Walsworth Family Columns Club, West Tower & Multipli Club):
    • Enter: Gate 7

Mizzou is enforcing these changes to reduce congestion on the south concourse amid the construction to the north end zone of Memorial Stadium.

“We understand we are requiring some of our fans to enter the stadium through gates they are not used to due to the stadium construction, but we appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility,” Mizzou Athletics Director Laird Veatch said in the press release. “Immediately after last week’s game, we spent considerable time reviewing our stadium entry procedures and saw unacceptable congestion in the south concourse area that caused significant crowding issues and delays. We focused on ways to fix that issue and adjusted our preseason plan to enable the fastest ways to get all fans to their seats.”

Beginning two hours prior to kickoff, shuttles will be available to fans, which will run from Mick Deaver Memorial Drive, near Lot I, to Gate 5W and vice versa. Shuttles will also run for one hour after the conclusion of games. All gates will be open two hours prior to kickoff.

MU will host Kansas in the highly-anticipated renewal of the Border Showdown on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 2:30 p.m.
