Mizzou gains commitment from veteran defensive lineman

KMIZ

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Football has obtained more competition at the defensive tackle position.

On Saturday, head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff learned Ohio transfer Bralen Henderson will use his final year of eligibility to join the Tigers. According to On3, Henderson is rated as a three-star transfer portal pickup.

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound redshirt senior is a four-year college football veteran, who made his biggest leaps in production over the last two seasons. Henderson has recorded 47 total tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks and one forced fumble in his last 26 games.

The Pennsylvania native is the fourth new player to join the Tigers during the spring transfer portal window, alongside tight end Gavin Hoffman, wide receiver Xavier Loyd and offensive lineman Jaylen Early.

Mizzou currently has the No. 9-ranked transfer portal class in the nation and the fourth-best group in the SEC, based on On3's ratings.
