Mizzou kicker makes Associated Press All-Bowl team
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football's kicker has received national recognition for a record-breaking Music City Bowl performance.
Blake Craig was named to the Associated Press All-Bowl team, earning the honor for the first time in his young college career.
The Liberty North graduate hit a game-tying, 51-yarder and an eventual game-winning, 56-yarder in Mizzou's comeback win over Iowa, breaking the Music City Bowl record for longest field goal twice in the same contest. Craig's 56-yard field goal also tied his career-best kick.
Craig's 2024 campaign was an historic one for the program. He became the first freshman in school history to eclipse the century mark in points (108) and broke the MU freshman record for most field goals (24) in a single season. Craig's 24 field goals were also the second-highest, single-season total in program history and his six kicks from 50+ yards tied the program's second-best mark.
The Kansas City native will work to build on his successful redshirt freshman season when his sophomore campaign kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 30 against Central Arkansas.
