Mizzou adds first cornerback to transfer portal haul
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football's 2024-25 transfer portal class now features its first cornerback.
Head Coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff have signed veteran defensive back Stephen Hall, marking the program's 14th transfer signee of the offseason. The three-star transfer will have one year of eligibility remaining when he arrives in Columbia.
The Washington State transfer spent two seasons with the Cougars and was named a captain for the last of those two campaigns. During the 2024 season, Hall was in the starting lineup for all 13 games and recorded 50 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups and one interception, which he returned 100 yards for a touchdown. He also ended the year as Washington State's fifth-leading tackler.
Before joining Washington State for the 2023 campaign, the 6-foot, 199-pound talent played three years at the junior college level at Northwest Mississippi CC.
According to On3, Mizzou's transfer portal signees are now the No. 3-ranked group in the nation and the second-best class in the SEC, trailing only Ole Miss. Following Hall's signing, MU has now added seven players on defense, six on offense and one on special teams to its roster, including four transfers rated as four-star athletes by On3.
