RECAP: Mizzou shows resiliency in first SEC road win of season

STARKVILLE, Miss. (KMIZ)

No. 23 Mizzou (8-3) put the competitive spirit it has shown all season on full display at Davis Wade Stadium. The Tigers bounced back from a heart-breaking loss at South Carolina to capture the team's first SEC road win of the season against Mississippi State.

After all three of MU's losses this season, the team has rallied around each other to respond with a victory in the following game. The program's resiliency has kept them on pace to potentially post its seventh season since 2000 with at least 10 wins, heading into its regular season finale and bowl game.

"It's a testament to that team in there's character, the captains' resiliency that they have, the belief they have in each other, the belief they have in the staff. I think they do an excellent job of just... they love the game and they love each other. If you do that, if you love those two things, you can weather just about any storm," head coach Eli Drinkwitz said. "I'm really proud of them. They never flinch."
