Mizzou rules wide receiver ‘out’ for showdown at Mississippi State
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Mizzou Football will be missing one of the team's veteran wide receivers for a fourth straight game on Saturday at Mississippi State. MU has ruled wide receiver Mookie Cooper 'out' for its final SEC road trip of the season, according to the team's initial injury report.
Quarterback Brady Cook and safety Tre'Vez Johnson were the only other Tigers listed on the availability report, both being considered as 'probable' to play in Starkville, Mississippi.
Cook's 'probable' status is a significant upgrade from last week's initial injury report when he was listed as 'doubtful' to suit up against South Carolina. The St. Louis native made his first start since Alabama last Saturday, despite still recovering from wrist and ankle injuries, throwing for 237 yards and one touchdown.
