RECAP: Mizzou closes book on week two of fall camp

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou Football is now 11 practices deep into fall camp. The team returns to action on Monday, Aug. 12 for the first of its final six practices before transitioning to preparation for its season opener.

There is plenty of competition taking place among the players in several key position groups. While some frontrunners are starting to emerge in some of those position battles, others are still competing to bolster their role on the team and earn more playing time. Mizzou's excellent depth at many positions has aided that competition and will benefit the Tigers when the 2024 season kicks off.

"I feel pretty confident that we're two deep in just about every position," Eli Drinkwitz said at Saturday's press conference. "For us, it's about continuing to establish that competitive depth in special teams and making sure that 35 through 50 are able and ready to win in the SEC."
