Darius Robinson selected in first round of NFL Draft

DETROIT, Mich. (KMIZ)

For the first time since 2017, a former Mizzou Tiger has been selected in the opening round of the NFL Draft. Darius Robinson was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the 27th overall pick on Thursday night in his home state of Michigan.

The defensive lineman became the first Mizzou Football alum to be taken in the first round of the NFL Draft since Charles Harris and is just the seventh Tiger since 2010 to be drafted on opening night.

Robinson earned First-Team All-SEC honors last season after posting 43 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and a forced fumble during the 2023-24 campaign.

The first round NFL Draft pick spent his entire college career with Mizzou, playing five seasons with the Tigers. His career numbers include 70 solo tackles, 111 total tackles, 21 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
