SEC announces Mizzou Football’s 2025 opponents
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Kickoff for the upcoming 2024 football season is just five months away, and now, the SEC has announced each team's conference opponents for the 2025 season. Mizzou Football will face the same SEC opponents it will compete against during the 2024 season, but the home venues will be the opposite in 2025.
“We continue to monitor changes across college sports as they relate to future scheduling,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in Wednesday's press release. “Continuing with our current format for the 2025 season provides additional time to understand the impact of the changes happening around us as we determine the appropriate long-term plan for SEC football scheduling.”
Here's the full list of eight SEC teams that the Tigers will play during the 2025 season:
- HOME GAMES:
- ALABAMA
- MISSISSIPPI STATE
- SOUTH CAROLINA
- TEXAS A&M
- AWAY GAMES:
- ARKANSAS
- AUBURN
- OKLAHOMA
- VANDERBILT
The SEC is retaining the same scheduling format it is using for the 2024 season. Each SEC team will face eight conference opponents and must schedule a game against an opponent from the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-12 or another major independent conference. The SEC Championship game will also continue to feature the top two teams in the full 16-team conference standings.
The dates and times of these games will be announced at a later date.
