COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The University of Missouri Board of Curators met in a special session Thursday to vote on naming the Missouri football team's new indoor practice facility.

The $33.4 million facility, which is set to be finished in 2023, is being paid for through private fundraising. Athletic Director Desiree Reed-Francois told curators the facility will boost Mizzou's athletic standing and help with recruiting.

All curators present voted to name the facility the Stephens Indoor Facility after Brad and Rachel Stephens, two MU alumni.
